Senior Vic Bandido among five arrested

A senior Bandido is among five people arrested after properties linked to the club were raided in Victoria.

Four firearms, a silencer, a large amount of ammunition, drugs and cash were seized on Wednesday during raids on eight properties in Geelong and Melbourne's west linked to the outlaw motorcycle gang, police say.

Among the items found were two loaded handguns at a property where young children live.

"Clearly it is an absolute hazard those weapons being in that condition in any premises, let alone where young children are around," Detective Inspector Martin O'Brien told reporters.

Of the five people arrested, Det Insp O'Brien said one was a high-ranking member of the Bandidos' Geelong chapter. Another was a former senior Bandidos member.

No charges have been laid so far.
