Vic driver over five times alcohol limit

A drunk woman has been caught driving at more than five times the legal alcohol limit in Melbourne.

The 27-year-old was intercepted about 4am in Malvern, where she tested positive to a preliminary breath test.

She was tested further at a local police station and recorded a blood alcohol content of 0.270.

Her licence was immediately suspended for 12 months and the Carrum Downs woman is expected to be charged on summons with drink driving.
