US woman lives with cardboard cutout of Bradley Cooper

Hollywood heartthrob Bradley Cooper is the actor many women would love to have by their side, but Danielle Davies has made that her reality.

The New Jersey woman takes a cardboard cutout of the actor everywhere she goes, gaining a cult following on social media in the process.

Mrs Davies is working on a non-fiction book based around the stunt, but offers a broader philosophical reason behind the bizzare photo series.

“Because, friends, this is America. So why not?” she says on her website.

“The fact is, while most of us don't actually live our lives with movie stars, many of us wish we did.

“And so, being a forward-thinking American, I have taken the bull by the horns, the horse by the reigns, the cardboard cutout of Bradley Cooper by the shoulders, and just pretended that I do.

“If I want a life with Bradley Cooper, well, then... I'll just make one up.”

Mrs Davies, 39, said she chose Cooper as she went to college with the actor and has followed his career its outset.

She said her husband and children enjoyed the ongoing presence of the cardboard Cooper in their lives.
