Urgent call for blood donations after Bondi tragedy
Australian Red Cross Lifeblood has put out a fresh appeal for people to donate blood in the wake of the Bondi stabbings over the weekend.
Six people were killed in the massacre at Bondi's Westfield shopping centre, while three people - a woman, man and a nine-month-old baby girl - remain in a critical condition.
Eight victims are stable and one woman has been discharged from hospital.

Sam Brown, from Australian Red Cross Lifeblood, told 2GB's Ben Fordham that donating blood was one thing others could do to show their support.
"Certainly donating blood is something that people can do to help out," Brown said.
"In an emergency situation like we saw over the weekend, then o negative blood is in particularly high demand.
"That's because that's the universal blood type that can be safely given to any patient before their blood type is known.
"But the need for blood and blood donors is always there and we do need blood of all types."

Red Cross Lifeblood is in need of more blood donations. Nine
Brown said the tragedy aside, Australian Red Cross Lifeblood was constantly in need of blood donations.
"I think one in three of us will need blood at some point in our lives, but only one in 30 Australians is a blood donor."
If people were interested in donating blood they should reach out to make an appointment, Brown said.
