Two more charged over alleged stabbing murder of father in Sydney's west

Two more men have been charged over the alleged stabbing death of a father of six in Sydney's west.

Josese McGoon, 37, was allegedly stabbed in Guildford on July 20 after being chased by a group of men he didn't know.

He went to Westmead Hospital with stab wounds to his abdomen that afternoon, but died from his injuries the following day.

Two men, both aged 23, had already been charged over the matter and remain before the courts, but police have now charged two more.

The third man, aged 26, was arrested at a restaurant in Greenacre at 2.40pm on Wednesday.

He was taken to Penrith Police Station where he was charged with murder, participating in a criminal group, and possessing an encrypted communication device.

He faced Parramatta Local Court yesterday where he was refused bail. He will face the same court again on December 5.

A fourth man, also aged 26, was arrested in Merrylands at 5am today.

Guildford stabbing arrest in greenacre

The latest arrests mean four people have now been charged over McGoon's alleged murder. NSW Police Force

He was taken to Granville Police Station where he was charged with murder and participating in a criminal group.

He was refused bail and will appear in Parramatta Local Court today.

Investigations into the matter continue.
