Two charged with torture offences after man 'bound with tape and stabbed with syringe' at Ipswich home

A man and a woman have been charged with assault and torture offences after they allegedly tied up a man with duct tape and stabbed him in the arm with a syringe at a Queensland home. 

Police say a 55-year-old man was assaulted when he went to a home on Syntax Street in the Ipswich suburb of Sadilers Crossing on Friday night.

The accused pair, both aged 47, allegedly bound the man with the duct tape and stabbed him a number of times in the arm with a syringe. 

The alleged victim was able to escape at around 9am yesterday morning and make his way to Ipswich Police Station. 

The man and woman were arrested at the home and a crime scene was established. 

The duo will appear at Ipswich Magistrates Court tomorrow charged with three counts each of assault occasioning bodily harm, and one count each of torture and stealing.
