Two boys trapped under cliff face after jumping from rocks in Sydney
Two boys who jumped from rocks into the ocean in Sydney had to be winched to safety after becoming trapped in a cave on the cliff face.
The pair leapt from the 35-metre cliff face known as "Eagles Cliff" in Maroubra, in Sydney's East, and became trapped underneath the rocks during low tide about 2.30pm today.
The teenagers from Western Sydney waited in the cave for two and a half hours before police officers reached them.

One of the teenagers spoke to 9News about the moment he realised he saw the rescuers.
"They're amazing, you know when I saw them, I don't know how to describe it," he said.
"It's the best feeling seeing people like that, because you know you're about to live."
Police officers had to fight against strong winds and abseil down the cliff face to rescue the boys, who suffered minor cuts and scratches from the jump.
It's believed that the pair were prompted to jump from the cliff after watching YouTube videos of other teenagers jumping from Eagles Cliff.
The teenagers were winched out of the cave and taken back to the top of the cliff.
