Malcolm Turnbull has ruled out his government moving to legalise euthanasia any time soon.
The prime minister says he personally would not support the measure and doubts any government would ever propose it.
"It is fraught with practical difficulties and of course fraught with very significant moral difficulties," he told ABC radio on Friday, noting euthanasia was a criminal law issue and a matter for the states.
