Mud spill closes three lanes of Melbourne highway sparking traffic delays
A major mud spill on one of Melbourne's key freeways caused three lanes to close and traffic to bank up.
Three outbound lanes on the Tullamarine Freeway between Bell Street and Bulla Road were been closed after a truck spilt mud.
Two lanes remained open but the speed was capped at 40km/h, which sparked major traffic delays of more than 30 minutes.

Traffic quickly banked up for more than five kilometres.
"Motorists wishing to avoid delays should consider using Mt Alexander Road through Essenson to return to the freeway from Bulla Road," Public Transport Victoria said.
"Other alternatives include the West Gate Freeway or Ballarat Road to reach the M80 Ring Road in the west, or using Sydney Road to reach the northern suburbs."
Police were on the scene and an incident management crew was working to clean up the spill.
