'The roof came off': The aftermath of NSW tornado revealed
There is widespread destruction across farming towns in the NSW Central West after a tornado tore through the region last night.
The rare weather event ripped roofs off houses and other buildings, damaged equipment and flattened homes.
In Meadow Flat, north of Bathurst, Scott McKinnon's granny flat stood no chance when the tornado barrelled through.

Mr McKinnon was forced to cling to the kitchen bench as the roof and walls of his property blew off around him.
"Next minute, the roof came off, house (went) up in the air, slammed back down," he said.

"I was hanging onto the bench ... hanging onto the dog (with) one hand and my feet were hanging out through the window."

Overall, three people were injured in the freak storm.
