Tim's unconventional noodle-making skills leave co-hosts in stitches

Tim Davies is having a blast on his adventures abroad this week, with the Today weather presenter travelling to Japan's second biggest city, Yokohama, this morning.

Timmy visited the world's first ramen noodle-themed museum, based in Yokohama and when he saw the "bouncing noodles" at the front entrance, he knew it was going to be an interesting morning.

"I learned some traditional and not so traditional methods to make some ramen," he said.

Once signed in, Timmy headed straight to the kitchen and met his Japanese ramen master, who would take him through how to make the famous dish, which is a fusion between Chinese noodles and Japanese food culture.

The ramen master put Timmy to work right away, blowing his whistle and ordering his student around the kitchen.

But when it came to flattening the noodles, that was something Timmy did not expect.

"Now I can confirm the bamboo pole look, it's definitely effective at squashing noodles, even your own," he laughed at vision of him bouncing up and down on the end of the giant stick.

"I'm not exactly proud of this process, it's probably going to haunt me forever, but I know I'll never forget it and it was a very, very effective learning technique."

The footage left his Today co-hosts in hysterics, leaving Timmy blushing as they continued to play the video throughout the show.

But ever the team player, Timmy still enjoyed his personally made ramen noodles and even made Karl and Sarah their own custom bowls to take back home.

"When you taste my noodles, you will know that was not my first time," Timmy laughed.

"Seriously, they're delightful."
