Bosses urged to bin working-from-home policies

Bosses are being urged to bin flexible work arrangements and get staff back in the office full-time - or face a "real issue" in the future.

CR Commercial Property Group CEO Nicole Duncan said "it takes courage" to address the situation and bring "selfish" workers still at home back into the office.

"I think there's a real need for CEOs to take a lead on this for us to be working together," Duncan told Today.

"More as a community, the younger generation, the older generation... Otherwise we're going to end up with no leaders because they're all working from home and they've got no mentorship - I think it's a real issue moving forward."

Duncan said workers had got into a slow routine with working from home and other CEOs she had spoken to said "you can complete tasks from home but you can't do your job from home".

"It is about long-term, on the days people are going into the city, it's fabulous and the streets are bustling. But when everyone is still working from home, those days it's tumbleweeds," she said.
