Oasis fans are breathing a sigh of relief this morning after the reunion tour got off to a triumphant start after 16 long years, with the Gallagher brothers back on stage together for the first stop on their world tour.

They played two nights in Cardiff, hitting the stage hand in hand in front of 150,000 punters who loved every bar of their favourite songs.

Next stop, their hometown Manchester, with five massive shows at Heaton Park rocking out to 80,000 people each night, then onto five at Wembley Stadium in London, before Liam, Noel and the boys head Down Under in October.

He said while he has no real intentions of going back, he isn't saying he has retired, because if something special came up. he'd go back.

But otherwise, at 80 years of age, he has certainly paid his dues and created an incredible body of work.
