We brought infectious disease expert Dr Robert Booy, chair of the Coalition of Epidemic Preparedness Jane Halton, and former AMA President Tony Bartone onto the show to answer the pressing questions we had.

It quickly became clear one of the most pressing concerns is how effective the vaccines are against the UK and South African COVID-19 strains.

While Australia has only approved the Pfizer inoculation, AstraZeneca and Novavax are two other candidates tipped for approval.
