Australia's best schnitzels have been revealed

It's a staple of pub menus for a reason: just imagine those tender pieces of meat, coated in breadcrumbs and then fried to golden perfection... mmm, it's enough to make your mouth water.
Australia's best schnitzels, or "schnittys", have been revealed thanks to wotif.com's "Uniquely Aussie Awards".
So, let's see who made the crumbed cut in your state or territory.

Queensland: Tingalpa Hotel in Brisbane.
NSW: Una's in Sydney.
ACT: Canberra Labour Club in Belconnen.
Victoria: Mrs Parma's in Melbourne.
Tasmania: The Cascade Hotel in south Hobart.
South Australia: Schnithouse in Adelaide.
Western Australia: Captain Stirling Hotel in Perth.
Northern Territory: Gillen Club in Alice Springs.

Speaking to Today this morning, Una's owner Pieter Van Rijn shared the secret to a good schnitty.
"Never scrimp on ingredients," he said.
"Never freeze your ingredients and make them fresh every day.
"For us the most popular is chicken, followed by veal. But for me personally, I always take pork... I think it is just the softest meat and to me, it is the most tasty."
