Thousands without power in Victoria and South Australia after thunderstorm
Thousands of homes across Victoria and South Australia have been left without power after a massive storm swept over both states.
Victoria's State Emergency Service has responded to 650 calls for help in the last 24 hours, with the majority coming from Geelong and Frankston.
The areas were slammed by an intense 50mm of rainfall over 45 minutes, causing flash flooding.

Three people needed to be rescued from their cars after driving through floodwaters.
The SES also responded to 100 calls of trees falling down in Victoria, which also took out power lines.
Around 900 homes are still without power.
In South Australia, more than 1100 homes are still without power.
The storm brought wind gusts up to 130km/h.
More than 130,000 lightning strikes it up the sky across the state.

Spokesperson for the Bureau of Meteorology Angus Hines said thunderstorms will not return today.
"The good news is for most of the areas, and particularly the areas that were hardest hit, conditions have already eased," Hines said.
"That threat of severe thunderstorms has passed, it did die away overnight.
"We may still see a few further showers through the course of the day today, and some cool wind, but generally we are trending towards fine weather
"Particularly from this afternoon onwards and then a settled stretch of weather for the days ahead."
