Thousands of birds destroy greens of Terang Golf Club
Thousands of birds are destroying the greens of a south-west Victorian golf course.
The flocks of corellas have pecked dozens of holes on the Terang Golf Club greens, some almost 30 centimetres wide.
Groundskeeper Tim O'Keefe told 9News the corellas have left the club feeling on edge.

"It's definitely a major headache - sleepless nights, not knowing if you're going to come in the morning and find destroyed greens," he said.
Members of the club have tried using mannequins, bird noises and water sprinklers to fight off the birds.
Secretary of the golf club Colin Venn said none of the methods seemed to work as the birds were not phased.

"They get used to things there and get comfortable, you've got to keep varying it," he said.
The damaged green may deter more golfers coming to visit the lush Terang course, he added.
"If they don't appreciate what you've got with your greens, they won't come back - lost revenue," Mr Venn said.
The club is currently consulting the Department of Water, Land and Planning for advice on how to fend off the birds.
