Hodgman praises departing 'three amigos'

Tasmanian Premier Will Hodgman has praised the state's three Liberal MPs who lost their seats in the federal election, while slamming Labor's "dishonest" Medicare scare campaign.

First term MPs Andrew Nikolic, Brett Whiteley and Eric Hutchinson - dubbed the "Three Amigos" - were booted out at the federal election, leaving Tasmania with no coalition representatives in the lower house.

"Disappointed for the Tasmanian federal MPs who have lost their seats. They all worked hard and delivered a lot for our state," Mr Hodgman said on Twitter on Sunday.
