Damaging winds up to 100km/h are again expected to hit parts of Tasmania, which is still recovering from more than three days of blustery conditions.

Winds could peak at 100km/h for parts of the Western, Midlands and East Coast, and for the Upper Derwent Valley and South East districts on Sunday afternoon and into early evening, prompting the Bureau of Meteorology to issue a severe weather warning.

Wind gusts of 130km/h have already been recorded at Maatsuyker Island in the early hours of Sunday morning, the BoM say.
