Countdown starts for Cadbury closure

The public has just 11 weeks left to experience Hobart's Cadbury chocolate factory visitor centre after the company announced its closure.

Parent company Mondelez on Thursday said maintaining the centre was not sustainable and all efforts would instead go into the plant's manufacturing operations.

Eleven jobs will be slashed when the visitor centre closes on December 18 and unions are in negotiations to ensure workers get their full entitlements.
