Coroner to probe Tas prison deaths

An inquest into the deaths of two Tasmanian prison inmates will be launched within a fortnight.
South Australian man Robin Michael, 63, who was charged with the murder of his wife, and 42-year-old Troy Colin Monson died on June 29 and June 22 respectively while on remand. Both are believed to have taken their own lives.
Coroner Simon Cooper will hold a case management conference, preceding an inquest, into the deaths on July 17, the Hobart Magistrates Court advised on Tuesday.
