Bandits raid Tas pharmacy for drugs

Two bandits have fled with large amounts of prescription painkillers after holding up a Tasmanian pharmacy.

Two men entered the pharmacy in Burnie about 2pm on Thursday and one of them threatened staff with a knife, demanding they hand over the opiate-based drug Oxycontin.

The men raided a safe and ran off with large amounts of the drug together with another opiate, Endone.
