Police shoot man dead at Western Sydney shopping centre
Police have shot and killed a man at a busy shopping centre in Sydney's West.
Officers were called to reports of a brawl at Westfield in Mount Druitt at 3pm when it was packed with Saturday afternoon shoppers.
Two groups were fighting with knives and machetes on the rooftop car park outside the Hoyts cinema.

Police say one of them, a man aged in his 20s, was brandishing a machete when he turned on officers and walked towards them.
One or several officers fired shots and killed him.
Shoppers ducked for cover and hid in shops.
The man was treated by paramedics but died at the scene.

At least one woman was seen being taken away in handcuffs and police have launched a critical incident investigation.
"Police were onsite and responded to a critical incident within the Westfield Mt Druitt car park this afternoon," shopping centre owners Scentre Group said in a statement.
"Our team are providing full assistance to Police and Emergency Services.
"The safety and security of our customers, business partners and people is our highest priority.
"This is a police matter. Please direct all inquiries to police media."
