Sydney truck fire causes commuter chaos during peak hour
Heavy traffic is snaking through southern Sydney due to a truck fire, which has forced the closure of a busy motorway during peak hour.
Westbound lanes of the M5 East tunnel have been closed, and motorists are urged to find alternative routes.
The fire broke out on the tray of a table-top truck approaching the westbound tunnel exit near Bexley North.

Long delays are expected.
Fire and Rescue NSW said "mopping up operations are underway".
"The internal sprinkler system activated, containing the fire, as four Fire and Rescue NSW (FRNSW) crews used the tunnel's cross-over walkways to reach the scene and extinguish the flames," it said in a statement.
"The cause of the fire is being determined."
