Amazing scenes at Sydney's spectacular Mardi Gras parade
A sea of rainbow flags, clothing and signs took over the Sydney CBD on Saturday night as the 46th annual Mardi Gras took place on March 2, 2024.

An estimated 120,000 spectators and 12,500 participants attended the annual Sydney Mardi Gras parade on March 2.
More than 200 floats took part in the parade.
They travelled from Oxford Street and Flinders Street before finishing along Anzac Parade in Moore Park.
Marchers came dressed to the nines, embellished in sparkles, big feathers and bold colours.
The Sydney Swans took a break from the field to take part in the parade.
The NSW Rural Fire Brigade also drove and walked down the parade, blaring their lights as they celebrated the night.
NSW Police, including Commissioner Karen Webb, marched this year out of uniform after an agreement was reached with the Mardi Gras Board.
They were earlier in the week uninvited after a serving police officer was charged over the deaths of Sydney couple Luke Davies and Jesse Baird.
NSW SES Commissioner Carlene York and Deputy Commissioner Debbie Platz donned rainbow at the event.
It wasn't all smooth sailing on the night though.
Eight people were charged after pro-Palestine protesters allegedly let off flares as NSW Premier Chris Minns passed them.
Police took a handful of the protesters away during the parade.
