Sydney tradie saves dog after stopping to check no one was in burning home
A tradie who was passing by a burning home in Sydney's west valiantly stopped to check if anyone was inside, and ended up rescuing a pet dog.
The house on Meadows Road in Mount Pritchard went up in flames at 11am, Fire Rescue NSW Acting Superintendent Mat Sigmund said.
Fire crews had to remove six LPG gas cylinders from the garage of the two-story brick home to ensure the property didn't blow up.

Local Leo was driving down Elizabeth Drive when he noticed the fire, quickly jumping into action. and saving a dog from the backyard of the burning home Nine
But before they got there, tradie Leo El Ali, who was heading to his next paint job, noticed the fire and quickly jumped into action.
"I was just driving past... I saw the black smoke so I pulled in the street the fire was starting," El Ali said.
"Me and a couple boys started checking all the windows checking if anyone was inside... it was exploding everywhere it happened real quick.
"Within five minutes it just turned massive... I went around the side while it was blowing up and found the dog...
"She was so stressed out, I was scared... she was such a big dog, [I was thinking] if she was going to bite me, [but] I grabbed her and I took her.

The owner thanked the tradie for his bravery and saving his dog. 9News
El Ali said he left his business card with the police to pass on to the owners so they could get their dog back.
The owner did eventually return home from work and thanked El Ali for his bravery and for saving his dog.
FRNSW do not yet know the cause of the fire and confirmed no one was home at the time of the blaze, aside from the dog.
