An investigation is underway after a man claimed he was attacked with an axe and kidnapped in Sydney’s north.
The man, aged in his 20s, has told police he was attacked by a group of men in Hornsby yesterday.

He said they approached him with an axe, before locking him in the boot of a car.
He was able to escape and raise the alarm at an apartment block on South Dowling Street in Waterloo at 2.35pm.
The man was taken to St Vincent’s Hospital where he has undergone surgery for stab wounds to his arms, and remains there under a police guard.
