Sydney Jeep driver takes cheeky shortcut
An impatient Sydney Jeep driver has been filmed mounting a kerb and driving along a footpath in an audacious attempt to beat the traffic.
Dashcam footage shows the fed-up driver of the black Jeep waiting in a queue of cars on Brabham Drive at Eastern Creek.
Not willing to wait a second longer, the driver veers onto the footpath and continues to drive along as if it’s the most ordinary thing in the world.
The driver behind the Jeep, who captured the manoeuvre on his dashcam, is clearly unimpressed, yelling out “W—ker, w—ker,” in an outraged tone.
The video was posted on the Facebook group Name and Shame Australia’s Dumb and Dangerous drivers on Thursday.
Facebook users have urged the driver who posted the footage to turn it in to police.
“I can see a fine coming in the mail, good clear footage, can bet if I did on the bike i'd be up s--t creek with all these dash cams,” one user wrote.
But not all users were entirely unsympathetic.
“Big deal !!! Not that I’d do it. Everyone is quick to say report it to the police but you are the first one to turn a blind eye when you see a crime or something suspicious happening,” another said.
