A dog has been shot in the spine, lung and ribs in western Sydney, with a man and his teenage grandson being spoken to by police.
Four projectiles were found inside the dog after it was rushed to the vet by its distressed Cecil Park owners on Monday night.
The projectiles cannot be removed without the animal dying, police said.
