A bride and her family are among a group of people fined for leaving the Northern Beaches lockdown for a wedding near Sydney's CBD in an alleged breach of rules that has infuriated authorities.

Exclusive footage shows the happy couple Diana and Mark celebrating to the cheers of their guests as they arrived at their wedding reception at a Jones Bay Wharf venue in Pyrmont on Sunday afternoon.

By Monday the bride herself and guests including family members were being slapped with $1000 fines after a tip-off to police about the alleged breaches by leaving the Northern Beaches lockdown.

At least 12 people have been fined and more are expected to face penalties, an angry NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian said today.

"We're trying to work out who it was was there and obviously the bride and groom were involved in it and again that is subject to further investigation," Ms Berejiklian said.

NSW Police said in a statement: "After speaking with staff and attendees, police recorded contact details for more than a dozen guests, who are Northern Beaches residents."

Police Minister, David Elliot, called their actions "a bastard act" and said he had no sympathy.

"You have been living in an area where there has been a cluster, putting the rest of the city in jeopardy," he told Today.

"You are certainly putting the health and safety of your fellow man at risk because you are attending a wedding.

"And now everyone at that wedding has to worry if they have been exposed to COVID-19. This is the sort of behaviour that puts us back into fuller lockdown."

The people fined are:

- A man and woman, both aged 43, from Allambie Heights

- A 33-year-old woman from Narraweena

- Men aged 34 and 27, and a 36-year-old woman, from Frenchs Forest

- Three women – aged 19, 22 and 28 – and three men – aged 23, 26, and 63 – from Beacon Hill.

NSW recorded just three new virus cases linked to the Avalon, Northern Beaches cluster.

However, another three emerged after the figures were reported, including one person from Wollongong, south of Sydney, who had visited the city's CBD.
