Two charged after allegedly stealing Christmas presents from homes across Sydney's west

A man and a woman have been charged after they allegedly stole Christmas presents from several homes across Sydney's west.

On Christmas Day and Boxing Day officers allege property was stolen from homes in Parramatta, Merrylands, Granville, and Rosehill.

It led police to search a home on Lennox Street in Parramatta about 12.30pm yesterday.

"Police located and seized multiple allegedly stolen items including vacuum cleaners, luxury brand bags and shoes," NSW Police said in a statement.

"A 48-year-old man and a 47-year-old woman were arrested at the property before being taken to Granville Police Station."

The man was charged with 12 offences including deception, break and enter steal less than or equal to $60,000 and possess prohibited drug.

"The woman was charged seven counts of dishonestly obtain property by deception," police said.

They were both refused bail and are expected to appear in Parramatta Local Court today.
