Melbourne driver's smashed up car causes police to 'double take'
A woman's smashed up car caused police officers to do a 'double take' to be sure what they were seeing when she drove past them in Melbourne's north-west.
The 2022 Hyundai Palisade had no windscreen, no back window and no panels to cover its engine when the 41-year-old Brighton woman was found cruising around on McIntyre Road in Sunshine North about 3.30pm on Saturday.
Police had already warned her on the previous Wednesday that was unsafe to drive, hitting her with a fine.
