Staff hide as gunman shoots at Sydney office in brazen attack

Security cameras have captured the moment a business near Parramatta was sprayed with bullets and three people cowered inside.

At least eight shots were fired at the Harris Park building, some hitting an awning, while others went through the front wall of the building, penetrating two interior walls.

The gunman was in such a hurry he ran onto the road, slammed his hands on a car that was forced to abruptly stop, but leaving his fingerprints.

It is believed the man ran to a nearby getaway car.

The target of the attack was an immigration consultancy firm, the owner concealing his identity out of fear.

Indian Australian Association of NSW spokesman Yadu Singh spoke on the man's behalf and said the business has never experienced anything like it.

"Throw some eggs and all those things, but never gunfire, so we have no idea what has happened," he said.

The attack has left the local Indian community asking more questions, just six weeks after the unsolved stabbing murder of Prabha Arun Kumar.

Mr Singh said he does not believe either attack was racially motivated.
