Man on the run after allegedly using spear gun to rob bottle shop in Coomera on the Gold Coast

Police are searching for a man who allegedly used a spear gun to rob a bottle shop on the Gold Coast.

The man is accused of threatening a male attendant with the weapon after entering the Maudsland Road store in Coomera at around 7.40pm and demanding cash, police said.

He fled the scene with cash and remains on the run. 

No one was injured. 

Queensland Police this afternoon released security vision from inside the store, which showed the alleged offender - dressed head to toe in black - pointing the weapon in the direction of the attendant.

The man is described as being around 180cm tall with a proportionate build.
