He was taken to St Vincent’s Hospital in a stable condition.

A 22-year-old woman who was known to the man was arrested at the scene and taken to Maroubra Police Station where she was charged with intention to cause grievous bodily harm.

Officers also allege that during her arrest the woman kicked a male sergeant, who was not injured in the attack.

The woman was refused bail and will appear at Parramatta Local Court tomorrow.
