One dead and five injured in two car crash outside Adelaide

Five people have been seriously injured and one person has been killed following a two car crash in Hindmarsh Valley, South Australia.

At about 2.50pm, a white Mazda with four passengers collided with a Subaru carrying two people on Victor Harbor Road.

One person died and five others were seriously injured in the crash.

A number of the injured have been taken by helicopter to the Royal Adelaide Hospital.

Motorists have been advised Victor Harbor Road at Hindmarsh Valley is closed in both directions.

Diversions are in place from Crows Nest Road junction and via Hindmarsh Valley Road.

Major Crash investigators are making their way to the scene.
