The shark alarm has sounded at Bondi Beach for the third day in a row after a great white shark was again spotted off the coast of the iconic beach.

Instagram user DroneSharkApp posted footage of a shark swimming off Bondi Beach early Thursday morning.

It comes after similar drone videos of a shark were posted on social media on Tuesday and Wednesday, promoting the beach’s closure.

“Third day running, great white shark at Bondi Beach, please stay out of the water,” the post from DroneSharkApp reads.

A flashing light on the drone was used to warn surfers in the water that a shark was present.

The footage shows surfers paddling back to the shore.

Bondi Beach is now listed as closed on the Beachsafe website.

Just 10 days ago, Leah Stewart was left in a critical condition after being mauled by a shark at nearby Coogee Beach.

The young mum was pulled from the water by lifeguards and members of the public after she was attacked while swimming at the popular beach on June 13.

The 35-year-old underwent multiple surgeries following the attack, including an arm amputation.

In the past 12 months there have been six fatal shark attacks in Australia, including two in Sydney.
