Several products recalled from same baby brand over serious safety concerns

Several products from a baby toy and accessories brand have been recalled due to serious safety concerns.

A selection of toys and accessories from Romper & Co have been recalled, all of which were sold nationally through various sellers, and online through their website directly.

The toys that have been recalled by the Australia Competition & Consumer Commission are as follows; the wooden barbell rattle, acorn rattan rattle, wooden egg shakers, 360 teether and Wooden toy maracas.

The toys do not meet the standard size, shape and safety requirements for children up to 36 months, outlined by the ACCC.

If a part of the object becomes dislodged in a child's mouth, it can cause choking, suffocation or death, the ACCC said.

The full list of traders who sold the listed toys can be found on the ACCC's website.

Anyone who purchased the items should keep them out of children's reach and contact the brand to arrange a refund.

Romper & Co's children's bamboo pyjama set has also been recalled by the ACCC.

All colours of the PJ set have been recalled as the item does not have the correct fire hazard label on it.

If the affected sleepwear is exposed to heat or a flame it could cause serious burn injuries, the ACCC said.

Consumers can return the set to Romper & Co to get the correct label attached or for a full refund.

Two pairs of kids sunglasses sold by the brand have also been recalled by the ACCC.

The Teddy Matte sunglasses and Vogue sunglasses have been recalled as the products do not comply with mandatory standards for sunglasses and fashion spectacles.

Both items do not show the required UV rating label.

There is a risk of serious eye damage or vision impairment if the glasses are used incorrectly due to the missing safety information, as customers aren't aware of the level of protection the sunglasses provide, the ACCC said.

Consumers can return the glasses to have the label put on, or for a full refund.
