The Senate has called on the Turnbull government to release documents relating to the restructure of the CSIRO.
The motion, by Greens senator Larissa Waters, was agreed to in the Senate on Wednesday, calling for documents around the restructure of the oceans and atmosphere division to be produced by March 3.
The government has opposed the motion with frontbencher Scott Ryan insisting the industry minister did not possess the documents.
