Security guard charged over one-punch attack on patron at Padstow bar
A security guard has been charged over a one-punch attack outside a pub at Padstow in Sydney's south-west which has left a man with serious head injuries.
Police said a fight had erupted after two men were kicked out of the Padstow Park Hotel just after 10pm yesterday.
The 34-year-old victim was allegedly trying to break up a scuffle between the pair outside the pub when he was grabbed on the arm and punched in the head by a security guard.
The victim fell to the ground and hit his head on the pavement, knocking him unconscious.
He was taken to Liverpool Hospital and is now in a stable condition.
A 38-year-old security guard has been charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
He has been granted conditional bail to appear in court next month.
