SASR to get barracks upgrade

Australia's top-level special forces could soon have new digs.

The parliamentary public works committee is considering a $223.6 million redevelopment of the Special Air Service Regiment's accommodation at Campbell Barracks in Perth.

Darren Chester, parliamentary secretary to the defence minister, said the barracks were built in the 1960s and were no longer suitable.
