Worker severely injured at SA smelter

A worker has suffered serious leg injuries after getting stuck in machinery at a South Australian smelter.
Emergency services rushed to the Nyrstar smelter at Port Pirie around 2.30pm on Sunday following reports a man had been trapped in a conveyancer.
A police spokeswoman said his injuries were not life threatening and the incident was being investigated by SafeWorkSA.
