Woman fatally hit by car in South Australia

A woman has died after she was hit by a car in Adelaide.

The Elizabeth East woman, 26, was struck by the car at Elizabeth Downs just after 10pm yesterday and later died in hospital.

Police continue to investigate the circumstances of the crash, which brings the state's road toll to 90, up from 83 at the same time last year.
