Woman dead in SA highway crash

A woman is dead after her car collided with a tree on a South Australian highway.

The 27-year-old Eyre Peninsula woman was the only one in the car when it collided with a tree on the Flinders Highway at Coulta, north of Port Lincoln at 6.15am on Saturday.

She died at the scene, taking the state's 2016 road toll to 12.
