Woman charged with murder bid in SA

A woman has been charged with trying to murder four people by setting an Adelaide house alight.

Emergency services on Tuesday morning were called to a large fire at a shared accommodation house at Symonds Place.

Police say the fire was lit at the rear of the house and an accelerant was allegedly used.

The four residents escaped without injury.

A 41-year-old woman, of no fixed address, was found nearby and has been charged with four counts of attempted murder and one of arson.

She's been refused bail and is due to appear in the Adelaide magistrates court on Wednesday.
