Two dead in remote SA road crash

Two people have died after a car and a road train collided in the remote far north of South Australia.

The accident occurred on the Stuart Highway about 30km south of Glendambo on Tuesday night.

Police say two people from the car died at the scene, while another three were airlifted to the Royal Adelaide Hospital by the Royal Flying Doctor Service.

The truck driver was taken to the Roxby Downs Hospital for observation.,

The deaths bring the South Australian road toll to 82, the same as this time last year.
