Twin in court over brother's murder

A 24-year-old man charged with the murder of his twin brother at a property south of Adelaide has not applied for bail.

Lucas Cawte appeared by video link in the Christies Beach Magistrates' Court on Monday charged over the alleged shooting of his brother Jake.

He was remanded to a secure mental health facility and will appear in court again on May 16.

Police said previously that Cawte drove himself to Christies Beach Police Station on Friday morning and gave details of the shooting at a Willunga property.

Detective Chief Inspector Tony Ransom said the dead man, whose body found inside the house, had been shot in the head.

Chief Insp Ransom said motives for the shooting, including the question of mental health issues, were being investigated.
