Man on mobility scooter dies in crash

An elderly man on a mobility scooter has died after crashing with a truck in central Adelaide.

Police and ambulance crews were called to the intersection of Currie Street and Topham Mall, just before 7.30am on Tuesday.

Police say the 86-year-old man from Grange died at the scene.

His death takes to 16 the State's road toll, which was 12 at the same time last year.
