Three women charged over SA robbery

Three young women have been charged following a violent robbery in Adelaide.

It is alleged the group punched another female in the face before stealing her mobile phone on Wednesday night along Pirie Street, police say.

One of the women matching the victim's description was arrested following a brief chase when police spotted her in Rundle Mall almost two hours later.

The 20-year-old Parafield Gardens woman was arrested and charged with aggravated robbery and resisting arrest.

A 17-year-old Burnside girl was also arrested and charged with aggravated robbery.

They were both refused police bail and are expected to appear in the Adelaide Magistrates and Youth Courts on Thursday.

A 15-year-old Gilles Plains girl who was with the pair was arrested and charged with disorderly behaviour and resisting arrest.

She was bailed to appear in the Adelaide Youth Court on 29 April.
