A third man has been charged over a fatal hit-and-run crash in which a father of two was killed in front of his two children.

Kieran Hayward, 45, was struck at Ingle Farm, in Adelaide's northeast, by a Ford ute last week.

The driver failed to stop and the car was found burnt out in a nearby street.

Police soon after charged a 25-year-old man with causing death by dangerous driving, failing to stop at a collision and other driving offences.

At the same time they charged a 24-year-old man with impeding an investigation and now say a 48-year-old man will face a similar charge.
